SO! to take a break from looking at gibberish HTML coding. I thought I might as well upload some of my past works. That way...I'll always kno where to find them. = )
MONICA - this started off as a portrait for my friend, Monica (who got married in Maui, 2006). It was s'POSE to be a wedding gift...but somehow it was never finished until last year. And well the ending product? still nice...but I didn't really like it.
FIRST OFF: it doens't LOOK anything like her. sigh...so, needless to say, I didn't send off the gift. In my book of wedding gifts...I still owe her. = (
SOPHIA: don't ask me where these names come from. As you read on...you'll see I have random names for my drawings/designs...its as if they speak to me while I'm creating. "Sophia. I want to be called - Sophia" OK! OK! Sophia it is. So, the story behind this piece...also delivered late, BUT, it was delivered. Was for my patternmaker friend - Maelle. I saw this dress in one of the Fall L'Officiel issues and loved the draping and detail. SO! I set off duplicating it in my drawing. = ) Not a bad turn out, I must say so myself.
The following 4 images were also drawn for Maelle. She's now incorporated custom wedding/bridal/formal dresses and gowns to her business. If you're in need of beautifully made dresses for your event, be sure to look her up in Temple City, CA.
GOWNS: ideas drawn from the mountain of wedding magazines out there on the shelves.
$500 bucks to the first person to tell me why these 5 girls below look like they are Martians decked out for a night out on the town? I dunno why, once uploaded, the colors go do their own crazy thing.
and LAST: CELIA & ROBYN - as you probably have figured out now, Maelle's choice in color is purple (cept for those Martian freaks above...who ORIGINALLY, wore shades of purple but now since they have blue skin...it would clash so they chose reds and pinks. sigh...out of countrol!!).
Questions, comments...I'm open to all. Mainly, tho...this is just for my own archiving. = )
More works will be posted as soon as I dig them up.
