it all began with...a SPEW OF CLOTHES

...on a newly resurfaced and bleached wooden floor...

a coupla days spent in the Motherland of Vintage Clothing - San Francisco...I came home with bags of random randomness.  Tempted by the newly resurfaced wood floors, I immediately dropped everything and went searching for my camera.

I dunno if its the oncoming blush of a bride (YES! I am NOW engaged *blush*) but do you see a hinting undertone flush of colors here?

These are some styles I've created just on a whim.  I'm naming them just for fun.

Marissa: metallic gold cable cardigan, blue deco shirt, lacey slip, blue polka dot knee-hi

Danielle: Peach embroidered cardigan, pink/gry floral shirt, lacey slip

Shane: Shimmer white scoops cardigan, pastel striped shirt, yellow lacey slip

Naomi: Natural crocheted cardigan vest, dusti pink s/s sweater, flower print skirt

Sicily: White wide knit cardigan, white s/l turtle neck, blk/white print skirt

Erika: Grey sweater, pastel island print skirt

and more...

In the next couple of weeks, these pieces will be transformed into sabo HOLIDAY '10.  Be on the look out for updates!

REMINDER: next time, you trip on a pile of "junk"...take a closer look,

...it may be TREASURE, waiting to be discovered

sabo HOLIDAY '10 collection - on the DRAWING BOARD

...after a brief hiatus, I am BACK! and ready to jump into work = )

SO! I was thinking, with all this talk about ECO-friendly this and that lately...  I've decided to go the "re-inventing" route.  the next few weeks will be spent digging thru thrift stores and coming back to the work table to "re-work" these oldies but goodies.

Below are some ideas that popped in my head the other day, while I was stuck in mad LA traffic.  All those out of "fashion" sweater cardigans, shells, vests...etc.  MY TREASURES! = ) New life will be breathed into them by adding collars (printed shirting, with lace & trims) with cut outs...

I'm EXCITED and so should you!
